Brochures or Rack Cards
Brochures or rack cards are great for presenting a lot of information in a convenient at-a-glance format.
They can be single-sided or folded and need to be printed by a professional.

Booklets
Booklets have multiple pages and are usually folded to be about half the size of a regular sheet (5.5″ x 8.5″).
They’re good for sharing a lot of information in a small, easy-to-read size.
They need to be printed by a professional.

Flyers or Handouts
Flyers or handouts are letter size (8.5″ x 11″).
Flyers that will be emailed, posted to a website, shared online, must be accessible.
These can be printed in-house or professionally.

Notecards and Postcards
Notecards are often 4.25 x 5.5 but can be any size.
They are printed on cardstock.
They may be double-sided or single sided.
These must be professionally printed.
Postcards are double-sided. The second side is always set up for mailing. (Don’t request a postcard if you are not mailing it!)

Posters
Posters are 11″ x 17″ or a larger size.
11×17 posters can be printed in-house. See Printing Services to learn how to post thee on campus.
Larger posters must be professionally printed.

Publications
Publications are magazines, reports, or booklets with many pages. They are printed by professionals and sometimes shared online too.
They can be stapled, hole punched, or spiral bound. It’s important to tell us how you want it bound at the beginning.
Publications are made by our design team and can’t be changed by users.

Timeline
We need a minimum two weeks‘ notice to schedule work depending upon the complexity of the project.
This is a best-case scenario and only possible when we have capacity and resources. Our timeline to begin designing starts only after we receive final text.
Ordering
Please allow us to start conversations with vendors.
For manufactured items, a month at minimum is required. Note that vendors have their own timelines, and we have no control over shipping dates or production timelines.
