- The Programmer exports PDF and thoroughly checks it in Acrobat to ensure it is accessible.
- The Programmer runs the Accessibility Check in Adobe Acrobat to determine if anything all fields have a Description (Tooltip.)
- The Programmer walks the Tags tree to ensure all form fields are anchored to relevant text.
- The Programmer tabs through each field and types demo text into each field to ensure 1) the fields tab in the proper order and 2) no fields have the same Name. (If two fields have the same Name, the text typed into one field will appear in the other field.)
- The Programmer performs the Post-Design process in Acrobat to finalize the document for accessibility.
- If multiple people are working on the project, the Programmer provides the finished PDF form to the Designer for a second check
- The Programmer or Designer test the PDF form with the PAC 2024 Checker and JAWS reader on PC.
- If the file is ready, the Designer deletes their backup and other exports so there is no confusion as to what version is final.
