The Designer lays out form in InDesign by following the method for creating accessible InDesign documents.
At UTA, we use an official template for all forms, located in SharePoint. This template is brand-compliant, preconfigured with Paragraph, Character, and Object Styles and example form fields to ensure consistency across all forms.
The Designer thoroughly checks the document in InDesign to ensure it is accessible in InDesign.
The Designer exports at test PDF and thoroughly checks the PDF in Acrobat to ensure it is accessible. Designer deletes test PDF.
If multiple people are working on the project, the Designer packages the InDesign source file and provides it to the Programmer.
If multiple people are working on the project, the Designer retains a backup copy of the InDesign source file. (This way there is a backup in case something goes off the rails during the Programming phase.)
